tl’aneq’ “Gathering For a Celebration” 2024

Home | tl’aneq’ gala

tl’aneq’ (tlah-nook) is Northwest Indian College’s premier fundraising Native American art auction and gala. tl’aneq’ raises funds to support NWIC’s mission of increasing higher education in Native communities.

We’re excited to host this year’s tl’aneq’ Native Art Auction and Gala on April 13th at the brand new Muckleshoot Casino and Resort. This year, we are also excited to celebrate the College’s 40th anniversary!

This benefit dinner is the Northwest Indian College Foundation’s premier fundraising event rooted in promoting Native American art to support Northwest Indian College and its students. This event will feature top regional and national Native American artists. Proceeds from this event support the Northwest Indian College Foundation to provide student scholarships and student support programs at the College.

This fabulous event includes a reception, silent auction, plated meal, cultural demonstrations, and one of the region’s largest Native American live art auctions! We can’t wait to see the many artists, community members, Tribal leaders, legislators, and corporate friends come together to help in the good work.

Reserve your room at the Muckleshoot Casino and Resort here or call 1-800-804-4944. Mention you are attending the Northwest Indian College Foundation’s tl’aneq’ event and get a special group discounted rate of $199 for a Deluxe King Bed or $209 for a Luxury King Bed. Book before 3/29 for the group rate.

Our vision for education at NWIC is based on deeply held beliefs about identity, relationships, and stewardship.

The Lummi value of “lengesot” means we take care of ourselves, watch out for ourselves and love and take care of one another. It is a good way to describe the NWIC Foundation. We aim to provide financial resources to our students in order to help them reach their educational goals.

tl’aneq’ Live Art Auction

Event attendees will receive a paddle upon registration clearly labeled with a bid number. You may use this number in the silent auction and the live auction. During the silent auction, write your bid number on the form by the art piece. In the live auction, raise your paddle to bid on a particular item when the auctioneer calls for an initial bid. Listen to hear whether someone raises your bid. Bidding moves in standard increments. The auctioneer will close each bidding and announce the winning bid number.
