NWIC Student Profile
Caroline Edwards
Major: BS in Native Environmental Science
Heritage: Swinomish
Occupation: Assistant Editor of Keeyoks Newsletter
The AA degree I got at NWIC has opened doors for me.
NWIC’s Swinomish Site has impacted my life in such a good way that the people in my community recognize me as a young leader. While I was finishing my AA, I was able to get a job as the assistant editor for the Keeyoks newsletter. Although my career right now is as an Assistant Editor, I have other passions for the environment and through NWIC, I am able to keep pursuing my education in the BS program. I plan on finishing this program so that I can give back to my Swinomish community.

Your gift today can make the crucial difference. The main reason Native students do not complete their education is due to the financial hardships associated with getting their degree.
